EVESHAM Wheelers members made their way out of the town and into Hampton on their latest run.

The route took them along the north side of Bredon Hill, through Pensham and into Pershore.

The group climbed up Holloway Bank and into the quiet lanes which allowed a relatively traffic-free ride through Norton and onto Worcester.

Pressing on, the group made quick time to Norton Garden Centre.

After a break, the riders took to the lanes around Hatfield and Drakes Broughton.

For most it was over the ford in Pinvin, while one brave Wheeler made it through the water.

Pershore came and went as the group pressed onto Pensham and the Combertons. The roads were now dry and the temperature had risen a couple of degrees as the riders entered Evesham, after riding 40 miles.

Monday saw the election of club officers at the Wheelers’ annual general meeting.

The vacant post of president went to Paul Stockdale and the chairman role to Adrian Main.

This Sunday’s run is to Martin Hussingtree for the social run, while the ‘A’ and ‘B’s will head for Shrawley. All runs leave the High Street at 9.15am.
