PERSHORE TOWN will be looking to pick up another three points against a struggling Brimscombe and Thrupp side.

Pershore currently sit 13th in the table, having won their most recent fixture 2-0 away at Cirencester Town on Saturday (November 16).

The game saw both sides in a first half deadlock, with neither able to break through. In the second period, however, Steve Webb broke the stalemate, giving Pershore the lead with a 20-yard screamer.

Aidan Clark matched him soon after, scoring a goal from distance of his own and securing the win for Danny Janes' side.

Speaking after the win, Janes said: "Steve Webb hits a great one to give us that lead and I knew from there we would go on to win the game, we just needed to get in front. Aidan sealed the game with an unbelievable goal, he has been really patient as he hasn’t started the last few games so I am delighted for him, his attitude has been top draw.

"We can now look forward to the challenge of Corsham next Saturday as we look to keep putting points on the board.

"Thank you as always to the travelling support, they have been with us all season and they are very much appreciated."

Pershore's fixture last Saturday (November 23) was postponed due to the effects of Storm Bert.

Brimscombe and Thrupp have endured a tougher start to the season. The side sit 18th in the table, having won just three of their 20 games played to this point. Should the sides sat below them win their games-in-hand, they could drop to the bottom of the table.

The game presents a huge opportunity for Pershore to put another three points on the board, and win their fourth game on the bounce.

The game kicks off this Saturday (November 30) at 3pm.
