EVESHAM UNITED look ahead to their game against league leaders, Yate Town, after a back-and-forth match against Helston Athletic.
The Robins got an impressive win against Athletic, getting the three points in a tough fixture which saw them run out 3-2 victors.
Evesham United took the lead through Toby Raison, who struck the ball from the edge of the box to put Evesham up. However, Helston were quick to match them, equalising just two minutes later.
The teams then remained in a deadlock for the remainder of the half.
Soon after the second half began, Reegan Messenger came off the bench and made an instant impact, heading in from a corner after just three minutes.
This time it took longer for an equaliser to come from Helston, but with just under 20 minutes to play, they were able to capitalise from a quick break to draw the game level.
Messenger would pop up again to score the deciding goal, hitting a volley on the turn to win the game for The Robins.
Next time out, United face up against top-of-the-table Yate Town. Town have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season so far - with 11 wins and only one loss in their opening 15 games.
Their impressive run has seen them undefeated in the league since December 14.
Most recently in the league, Town drew 1-1 at home to Mousehole AFC. Yate had a dominant performance, but were unable to capitalise and take the three points.
Evesham United have enjoyed a strong showing themselves so far this season. The Robins currently sit fourth in the league, and look set to contest the playoffs should their form continue.
The side have experienced a brief blip in recent weeks, which saw them lose three on the bounce - including a 4-0 loss to Willand Rovers.
However, their last few fixtures have seen a return to strong performances - with the win over Helston Athletic following a point away at Larkhall Athletic and a win on the road at Melksham Town.
This Saturday's (November 23) game kicks off at 3pm at the South West Interiors Stadium.
