Evesham United have kept hopes of a fifth place finish alive with a 3-1 away win at Tavistock on Saturday.

Goals from Aidan Clark, Amer Awadh and Aaron Heap saw United head home from Langsford Park with three points to add to their Southern South League tally, with Liam Prynn's penalty proving to be nothing more than a consolation goal.

The visitors first scored in the 28th minute when Will Owens' left-wing cross found Clark in the box, who tapped it home at the far post into the far corner for the only score of the half.

Two minutes following the interval Tavistock's Jack Endacott made his way into the box before being tripped by Jordy Ngathe, prompting the referee to award a penalty to the hosts which Prynn coolly stepped up to convert into the bottom right corner.

Evesham regained the lead in the 64th minute, thanks to Ethan Moran's cross on the right to Awadh, whose shot went in off the crossbar.

Later in the game, Awadh turned provider, crossing for Aaron Heap who made the score 3-1 with eleven minutes left, tapping the ball into an empty net at the far post.
