PERSHORE Town were left frustrated on Saturday afternoon as they were held by Hellenic League Premier strugglers Lydney Town in a 1-1 draw.
Josh Willis had given the visitors a 1-0 lead before half-time, but Joe Keeping's equaliser early in the second-half brought the hosts level.
The Plums peppered the home goal but came up against an inspired goal keeper in the form of Richard Thomas, who produced a man of the match display to earn his side a point.
For Pershore the result means they stay in 13th in the table, but it is at least a positive result, which has not been easy to come by in 2024.
Up until their 4-2 win over Hereford Lads Club earlier in March, Lewis Marston's team had lost every game they had played.
But four points from nine in the last three will give them some confidence to go on and finish the season as strongly as possible.
They have five games remaining; including home games against both Brimscombe & Thrupp and title favourites Worcester City alongside away trips to Longlevens, Highworth Town and Brimscombe to conclude the 2023/24 campaign.
