EVESHAM United were unable to build on Saturday's first win of the season as they were beaten by 10-man Bristol Manor Farm 2-1 on Tuesday night.
Goals from Manor Farm's Owen Brain and Marcus Day made it 2-0 to the visitors before the break but Evesham were handed a lifeline 20 minutes from time when Lloyd Mills was shown a second yellow card.
Substitute William Owens reduced the deficit five minutes later when Alfie Dunn's original shot was parried by the keeper, but The Robins could not find an equaliser.
The result sees them drop to third-bottom in the Southern League Division One South, just one place above the relegation zone with seven points from nine games.
Mood ahead of kick-off was positive after Saturday afternoon's first league win of the 2023/24 campaign, when late goals from Levi Steele and Alfie Dunn secured a 2-0 win over Bashley.
After going seven league matches without a victory - four draws and three defeats - The Robins ended that unwanted run with the win at The Spiers & Hartwell Stadium, a victory that had lifted them off the foot of the table.
But Tuesday night's defeat will frustrate all involved, especially after spending the last 20 minutes with an extra man.
They will have to dust themselves down swiftly, however, as they head to high-flying Bemerton Heath Harlequins on Saturday.
The hosts this weekend are sitting second in the table (with a game in hand), three points behind leaders Willand Rovers.
