THE final Seniors Open of the season took place at the Vale Golf and Country Club last weekend, with over 100 players from 24 different clubs taking part.
The final open was a team AM/AM format with the best two stableford scores to count of 85%of their handicap.
On a bright sunny day, the competition attracted players from over 20 clubs.
The results were; winning the tournament was Ray Mathews, Brian Longmore, David Colewell and Mark Cox from Kidderminster Golf Club with 89 points.
In second; Phil Davis, Ian Macrae, Andy Vale (Vale Golf Club) and David Kent (Worcestershire Golf Club) with 86 points.
And in third; Michael Edwards, David Davis (Heycrose Golf Club), Adrian Noke and Graham Palmer (Wintney Lakes Golf Club) with 85 points.
After the event, there was a raffle - prizes donated by the club's members - that raised £510 for the Captains Charity Alzheimer’s UK.
