EVESHAM United have confirmed that former Worcester City and Worcester Raiders attacking midfielder Kyle Belmonte will not re-sign with the club for the 2023/24 season.
Having scored crucial goals in keeping them in the Southern League toward the end of the 2021/22 campaign, Belmonte spearheaded Evesham's route to the play-offs in the 22/23 season, where The Robins ultimately fell at the semi-final stage.
He was the man that scored the two penalties on the final day of the regular season to rescue Evesham from 2-0 down against AFC Totton to book Evesham's spot in the semi-final with Hamworthy United.
Belmonte scored 13 league goals in the Southern League Division One South for Mike Ford's side. Ford would go on to describe Belmonte as his 'talisman' ahead of the semi-final play-off defeat.

But after discussions with the manager, Belmonte has decided not to re-sign and will now be on the look for his next club.
After lengthy conversations with manager Mike Ford, we can confirm that 2 fans favourites, @Adam7Mace & @BelmonteKyle will not be signing for 23-24.

"Being part of a massive local club is a massive privilege. I play Sunday League football out of enjoyment so It's been a privilege to represent a club like Evesham at a good standard.," he said on Twitter.
"I am very fortunate to have played for a successful local club who have welcomed me with open arms since joining in a relegation battle in which we managed to survive with a game to spare.

"Winning the golden boot and fans' player of the season was great so thank you so much to the fans.
"This season was the bipolar opposite of last season and making the play-offs with the final game of the season... what a ride it was! I stopped scoring for three months but blame the gaffer for giving me the number nine shirt, I am no Rooney!
"But I certainly am Belmo and thank you to the fans who still had faith in me and the boys to secure play-offs with it looked highly unlikely at stages."
Belmonte will not be short of offers. There is interest from local clubs in and around Steps 5, 4 and maybe even 3, with a return to Worcester City also on the cards.
It was not just Belmonte that was confirmed as leaving as club captain Adam Mace has also opted to depart after three seasons.
Mace made 70 appearances, plus 12 as a substitute, in three seasons for Evesham, scoring three goals in the process.
