DANNY Janes will lead his Pershore Town side for the final time this weekend before he steps down as manager, and he has a chance to go out in style.
The Plums are chasing a third trophy of the season when they face Lye Town in the Smedley Crooke Memorial Cup Final at Redditch United's The Trico Stadium on Saturday (1PM kick-off).
Janes, in a shock announcement earlier this month, confirmed he would be leaving his post as boss at the end of the 2022/23 campaign to pursue a Masters degree at university.
LAST DANCE | Saturday's @CrookeCup Final is the final game of the 2022/23 season and the final game for our First Team Management Team as we know it. 18 Months in charge; 84 games, winning 70, losing 11 and drawing 3 with 13 wins coming against higher ranked opposition. pic.twitter.com/KbGeE959lY

As manager, Janes has already won five trophies in his 18 months at the helm, including this season's Hellenic League Division One title, which earned The Plums' promotion to The Hellenic Premier.
They will face Worcester City and Worcester Raiders in that division in the upcoming campaign, but it will be without Janes and some of his coaching staff.
They do have one final game this weekend before they depart, and Janes is desperate to go out with a bang and make it a remarkable six trophies - which would officially be back-to-back trebles in consecutive seasons.
"We are very much looking forward to the game. It has been a long season and the players deserve the break after we get through this," said Janes.
"The Final is our 59th game of the season which just shows the quality in this squad to compete in yet another competition. To secure the treble again would be absolutely fantastic, we will give everything we have.
"Lye Town have had an outstanding season themselves, securing promotion to Step 4 and they will be the obvious favourites.
"We will look to go toe to toe with them and I see it as two heavyweight teams going after each other. We will have to be at our very best to give ourselves an opportunity to win the game.
"The game is also great significance to myself and the management team. It will be our final game in charge of Pershore Town, we have one last dance.
"No matter the outcome of the game, it will be emotional to say goodbye. Those feelings are for after the final whistle, we are fully focused on the game and it's time to get to work."
