EVESHAM United are back in the play-off places in the Southern League Division One South after a narrow win over bottom-of-the-table Slimbridge on Saturday.
Jack Hallahan lit-up a below-par game of football with what was Evesham's first shot on target to seal the three points, despite the best efforts of a dogged Slimbridge side.
There could have been more goals for the Robins but Kyle Belmonte could not convert some late chances to add some gloss to the scoreline.

The win moves Evesham up to fifth with what was their second win this week following the impressive 2-0 win at league leaders Sholing on Tuesday night.
Building on that win was vital for Mike Ford's men and the boss got exactly what he was after.
"This game was always the important one, it always is after a big win like the one we had at Sholing on Tuesday," he said.
"If you go to the top side and win, the expectation is when you play the bottom side, you need to win and we did. It was a tight-ish game.
"They were gallant in what they did and stayed in the game but we got the goal and saw the game out, a massive three points."
It was a game of few chances in the first-half and Ford had to make changes to get the best out of his side.
But Hallahan's wonderful strike proved decisive and now Evesham have created that little bit of momentum that Ford hopes can be instrumental in The Robins' run in as they look to secure a play-off spot.
A cracking goal to win us the game right when we needed it.

"Two consecutive wins gives us momentum now, we need to use that and keep this run going," the manager added.
"We need to be better away from home because a lot of the games left are away.
"But we won on Tuesday at the league leaders so it shows we can go anywhere and win now. We need to make fewer errors, we need to be confident and we will see what happens.
"There are nine games left, let's see how many we can win and see where that leaves us come the end of the season."
