THE final round of games in 2022 takes place this weekend in the Regional 2 West Midlands division and it provides the best chance for Evesham to end the year on a high.
It's been a challenging 2022/23 season to date for Evesham, who have won just one of their 12 league matches.
Second-bottom and seemingly staring relegation in the face, they are in dire need of points and a home clash with bottom of the league and still winless Droitwich presents a golden opportunity.
Evesham's only win was against this weekend's opposition back at the start of the campaign and, should the game go ahead, it's a chance to end 2022 on a high in front of their own supporters.
Elsewhere in the league, there are some intriguing clashes at both ends of the table.
Third placed Walsall welcome league leaders Old Halesonians, with the hosts looking to leapfrog their opponents and potentially replace them at the summit.
Second-placed Malvern will have something to say about that as any slip up from Hales would allow them to take top spot if they can extend their remarkable winning run to 10 matches at mid-table Whitchurch.
In the other matches, Worcester host Stratford-Upon-Avon looking to end their six-game losing streak and Wolverhampton tackle title-chasing Ludlow at home.
