DUMBLETON have reached the national rounds of the Voneus Village Cup after a convincing ten-wicket win at Hagley.
The Evesham-based outfit cruised to an astonishing victory after openers Daniel Holland and Ross Martin chased down Hagley's 143 total all by themselves.
Martin recorded bowling figures of 4-29 as Dumbleton bowled out their hosts inside 37 overs.
He and Holland then scored 70* and 68* respectively to book their side a place in the next round, where they will play Weekley & Warkton away from home, now just four steps from a final at Lord's.
Dumbleton were also in West of England Premier Gloucestershire Division action the day before, as they tackled Cirencester.
It proved to be a dramatic game in which Dumbleton just about edged by a single wicket.
Having bowled Ciren out for 179, Dumbleton made hard work of the chase, losing nine wickets before eventually getting over the line.
52 runs from Aaron Tomson proved to be decisive in a low-scoring game but the win ensured Dumbleton stay second in the table.
