THE first open of the season took place last weekend at the Vale Golf and Country Club.
The Senior Section at The Vale held a very successful Pairs Open, played of 85 percent handicap attracting 116 players from 26 different clubs.
Derek Spencer and Brian Steed from The Warwickshire Golf Club won with 48 points, whilst Kevin Clifton and David Beale were the highest finishing pair from the Vale Golf Club with 47 points.
A club raffle was also held, in which a magnificent sum of £665 was raised for this years captain’s charity Myeloma UK.
