EVESHAM'S Prince Henry’s High under 16s girls finished fourth at the Butterfly English Schools Table Tennis Team National Finals.
They put in a tremendous effort and raised their game on the day but faced some tough opponents.
In their opening match earlier in March, Prince Henry's were beaten 8-0 by the eventual overall winners Ackworth School from West Yorkshire.
Their team included players rated at number four, 15, 19 and 32 in England at junior level and two English schools' individual champions.
In their second match Prince Henry's lost 6-2 to George Spencer Academy from Nottinghamshire whose side included two who have played for England at youth level.
In their final clash the Evesham girls were beaten 5-3 by Wood Green Academy from the Black Country.
The squad included Gabi Capaldi, Sophie Arrandale, Emily Grove, Rebecca Arrandale, Bella Reid, Abi Ingles, Anna Cole and Beth Pye.
