EVESHAM Swimming Club have been supported by Swim England to become a start para-swimming centre for Worcestershire.
Working alongside Evesham Leisure Centre and their learn to swim programme, the club can now support swimmers with a recognised disability.
Head coach Graham Begley said: “Inclusion is a major factor in our club ethos.
"The club is now in a great position to provide young people who have impairments to access the sport competitively.
“We already have a determined young lady who is loving swimming with the club as a para-athlete and we would love to see other para-swimmers join us and enjoy the fantastic benefits.”
Centre manager Kay McBride said: “We are so pleased for the swimming club.
"This new initiative will hopefully see even more opportunity for people to get into swimming and we’re excited to see where it takes us."
