EVESHAM tasted defeat for the first time this season with a 33-12 setback against high-flying Barkers Butts.
Having won their opening two Midlands Two West (South) fixtures, the Lower Albert Road outfit produced an error-strewn display in the first half and could not find a way back.
Evesham improved in the second half, only conceding one further try before hitting back with two of their own via Will Bugg and Andy Robinson. Mike Diston converted one to complete the scoring.
Evesham's next fixture is at Earlsdon on Saturday, October 19.
Pershore suffered a third loss in as many Midlands Four West (South) matches, going down 26-7 at Dunlop.
It marked Dunlop's first win of the season with Pershore third bottom of the early standings, two bonus points keeping them ahead of Birmingham Civil Service and Kings Norton.
