EVESHAM Rugby Club kicked off their Midlands Two West (South) season with a 85-17 demolition of visiting Southam.
With conditions perfect for running rugby Evesham were in scintillating form.
Full-back Will Bugg stood out in particular, cashing in with a six-try haul.
Southam scored first with an unconverted try before Josh Perry opened Evesham's account followed by scores for Andy Robinson, Scott Fairfax, Dave Barber and a hat-trick for Bugg before the break.
Mike Diston converted five of the first-half tries for a 45-5 lead.
Southam rallied briefly early in the second half by scoring twice but Evesham were relentless in attack.
Josh Sands bagged a brace with a second for Perry and a second hat-trick for Bugg.
Diston slotted another five conversions to complete the scoring.
Evesham are next in action on Saturday, September 28, with a visit to Spartans.
Pershore lost 22-15 at Claverdon in Midlands Four West (South) but Bredon Star beat Westbury-on-Severn 33-0 in Gloucestershire Two North ahead of Saturday's visit to Bream.
