IT was an impactful weekend for Vale clubs in the Worcestershire Cricket League Premier Division.
Evesham were sentenced to relegation with a 64-run home defeat to Worcester's Old Elizabethans.
And Pershore's title bid was effectively ended by a two-wicket loss to visitors Worcester.
OEs were bowled out for 206 with Kamran Abbasi taking 4-42.
But Evesham could only make 142 in reply with Muhammad Saqib hitting 71.
Pershore were skittled for 102 with only Charlie Norton’s 35 not out at number nine helping them past the century mark.
Worcester made hard work of their win but got home on 103-8 with Matt Brace claiming 4-45.
Worcester Nomads enjoyed a vital eight-wicket win at Division One basement boys Bredon to stay above the drop zone, scoring 161-2 in reply to 160-9.
On Saturday, Pershore host Chaddesley Corbett, Evesham visit Bewdley and Bredon go to Belbroughton.
