PERSHORE finished their home campaign with a tight defeat to Astwood Bank in Birmingham & District Cricket League Division Two on Saturday.
Connor Adams (49) and Thomas Harris (33) spared Bank blushes in a total of 181 all out but the Plums could not make their visitors pay.
Liam Ridings (29) and Charlie Norton (21) put on 51 for the first wicket in response with Chris Ridings weighing in with 35.
Alex Clasen then struck an unbeaten 66 from 69 deliveries but support was lacking and the hosts ran out of overs on 174 for seven.

In Worcestershire Division One, Evesham succumbed to Tom Coulson’s seven-wicket haul in a home loss to Feckenham.
Tail-ender Adnan Sagheer’s unbeaten 18 was as good as it got in an innings of 86 all out that was finished inside 24 overs.
