PERSHORE crawled to victory over high-flying Penkridge in Birmingham League Division Two.
Taylor Pugh’s 4-9 from six overs helped skittle the fourth-placed visitors for 119 with Darren Critcher (2-39) chipping in.
But third-from-bottom Pershore needed 51 not out from Liam Ridings to earn their three-wicket success.
Ridings carried his bat as his team-mates crumbled with only Stephen Miles (18), Pugh (11) and Charlie Cross (16no) getting into double figures too along with 11 extras.
Pershore got home on 120-7 from 39.4 overs ahead of Saturday’s visit to Sutton Coldfield (noon) who are fifth.
Meanwhile, Evesham are among four teams fighting for the Worcestershire League Division One title.
They remain third but are now 31 points behind Stourport in second after losing at Walshes Meadow by 34 runs.
Evesham dismissed Stourport for 176 with Adnan Sagheer taking 3-47, Muhammad Saqib 2-22 and Mohammed Fahim Maan 2-17.
It gave the Vale side a chance of grabbing a precious win but they were all out for 142 in reply.
Muhammad Tahir Mirza top scored with 31 alongside 23 from opener Saqib.
But the rest of the batting was hit by the bowling of Ryan Derrick (4-36) and Charlie Foley (3-28).
Evesham visit improving bottom-half side Worcester Nomads on Saturday (1pm).
Bredon’s mixed season in Division Two continued with an 85-run loss at Enville who went above them in the table as a result.
Seventh-placed Bredon have won eight games and lost eight with one draw.
They restricted Enville to 178-9 in their latest loss with Kevin Wilkins claiming 4-44.
But Bredon collapsed to 93 all out in reply as skipper Wilkins top scored with 24.
He did not get much support as their dismissal in 30 overs brought only four points. Trevor Spears (5-31) and Tom Davies (3-30) did much of the damage for Enville.
Bredon host third-from-bottom Himbleton on Saturday (1pm).
Dumbleton lost by seven wickets at fellow high-fliers Thornbury in West of England Premier League Prem Two Glos/Wilts.
They were dismissed for 108 with Robbie Hardwick (33) top scoring.
Dumbleton host Cheltenham on Saturday (12.30pm).
