THE Green Party candidate who will be battling for the Mid Worcestershire seat in the upcoming elections has been named as Neil Franks.
He was named at the Hustings meeting in Evesham on February 19.
Mr Franks, who will be contesting the seat alongside the Conservative’s Nigel Huddleston, Labour’s Robin Lann, UKIP’s Richard Keel and the Liberal Democrat Margaret Rowley, said: "I was delighted to be adopted as the candidate for Mid Worcestershire. I feel the time is now right for a radical approach to politics which only the Green Party can provide.
"I look forward to explaining our policies and how it will ensure the longer term future of our country and particularly how this will work in rural area such as ours."
Originally from the north east of England the married father of two has lived in Droitwich and is getting to know Evesham.
"I have visited Evesham a number of times and met people there," he added. "It is a really great town in beautiful surroundings. I really look forward to finding out more about the town and meeting the people during the next few months.”
