Pershore Town manager Danny Janes has given his side a recruitment boost with a trio of new deals signed ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Plums have announced the signings of strikers Harlie Price and James Baldwin, and the retention of the services of goalkeeper Ryan Young.

Young signed for Pershore in January from Worcester Raiders via a short spell with Hinckley, and went on to feature 10 times for the club last season.

Janes, thrilled with retaining the shot stopper, said: "As soon as we agreed to return to the Club, Ryan was a player we immediately targeted.

"Ryan’s technical qualities, his mind-set and his reliability are all key drivers behind why we targeted him as our number one.

"Ryan is easily one of, if not the best Goalkeeper in this league."

Young said: "I’m really pleased to be signing for Pershore again this season.

"It’s a fantastic club with great people around it and I really enjoyed my short spell here at the end of last season, despite it being a difficult time results wise.

"As soon as I knew about DJ & TM returning to the club, it made the decision a no brainer really."

Goal scorer Price was not exactly short of offers ahead of the new season, having featured for Cheltenham Saracens, Malvern Town and Brimscombe & Thrupp.

The striker fought through an injury-struck period to score 11 goals in 30 games for Brimmy.

Janes said: "Harlie's pedigree as a number nine is what we felt we needed if we are to challenge to win this league.

"He has played at a high level and has always scored goals where ever he has been."

Price added: "I am really excited to become a Pershore Town player.

"I have played this level and know it well, so I am just really excited to get stuck into the league campaign now and play a part in this next chapter for the football club."

A welcome return has come in the form of fan favourite Baldwin, who returns to the Plums after a brief tenure with Hereford Pegasus.

The striker started last season in Pershore, scoring six in 19 games before his departure.

Janes said: "It was an easy decision to bring James back to the club, and from the outside looking in, I feel when he left last season that is when the form of the team started to dip."

Baldwin said: "It’s great to be back, you can already tell there’s a real buzz around the club for the coming season."
