PERSHORE Town have confirmed that one of the original members of the club's committee, Alan Taylor, has died aged 87.
The club released the news on X (previously known as Twitter), saying: "We are sad to announce the passing of our much loved Alan Taylor aged 87.
"An original member of the Committee when the club was founded in 1988.
"He was a club legend and will be remembered and greatly missed by everyone connected to the club. RIP, Alan."
A number of people involved with the club were quick to pay tribute to a man who has been widely described as a "club legend".
"Legend" is often overused in football these days but Alan was certainly one of them!

His love for Pershore Town unrivalled. Never one to hold back in his thoughts and that was respected.
The defeats hurt him as much as anybody but he certainly enjoyed the wins! RIP Alan!
Alan summed up what local non league football is all about. A true gentleman who was respected by everybody at the club.
