Golfer Mike Roberts was the star of the show recently at the Vale Golf and County Club during their latest competition.
66 members of the club contested the Summer Challenge Trophy (the winner being the best net score) and the Millennium Cup (the best gross score).
Roberts who won both trophies with a net score of 68 and a gross score of 80 to sweep up the silverware on the day.
Joint second were Kevin Clifton and Geoff Wilson with 69 net and third was Bill Graham with 70 net.
Nearest the pin on the 5th was Graham Whitehead.
There were 4 Two’s; Roger Hawes, John Jarvis, Brian Summers and Graham Whitehead.
