AS a special treat for winter, Ryton Gardens, the 10 acres of south Warwickshire gardens managed by Garden Organic, has opened its doors free to visitors right through to Friday, January 18, 2011.
At Ryton, the charity showcases a host of organic gardening techniques including tips and ideas for the garden all year round.
Andy Strachan, head gardener at Ryton Gardens, said: “Winter is the ideal time of year to create safe places for wildlife to hibernate and nest, provide food for birds to forage, protect ground for next year’s precious crops and we’ve got lots of ideas around the grounds to inspire people how to do this.”
