RESIDENTS are asked to support Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s bid to win £500 in an online voting competition to buy honey bee hives and a bee-keeping suit to show how easy it is to keep bees.
Caroline Corsie, farm manager at the Lower Smite Farm HQ, said: “We’re looking to buy two top bar hives. These are simple hives where bees are encouraged to build their own honeycomb. We’re hoping that by teaching people how easy it is to manage these, we’ll encourage them to have a go themselves and help arrest the decline of the honey bee.”
Vote until tomorrow (Friday) at smallbusinessbritain:intuit.co.uk/ charity-challenge/ or follow links from the Trust’s worcswildlife trust.co.uk.
