THE ever-popular CountryTastic returns to the Three Counties Showground today (Thursday) with another day of countryside fun and mayhem all in the name of a good family day out.
Now entering its sixth year,the event has built up a strong loyal audience attracted to the free hands-on activities and intimate nature ofthe event.
Filling a corner of the 60- acre site with indoor and outdoor activities, the dedicated children’s event promises a full day of entertainment and action for all ages.
The emphasis for this year’s event will be on the colourful world of wildlife and nature.
The popular showground lake, reached by a tractor ride, will be buzzing with nature activities including den building, forest school workshops and the mysterious Wild Man of the Woods storyteller.
Adam Henson, of Cotswold Farm Park and BBC Countryfile presenter, will be sharing his knowledge and farming tips when he comments on the animal parades during the day.
He said: “I think CountryTastic is an absolutely fabulous event and is obviously going from strength to strength.
“The atmosphere is absolutely magical and there’s huge buzz aboutit.
“It’s really important now that young people and their parents get connected with the countryside, food and British farming and really understand the importance ofit all.”
The show is open from 10am to 5pm. Tickets cost £6 (under-threes free) and there is free car parking.
