A JOINT Breeders Production Sale of Dexter cattle at Worcester enjoyed nothing short of a flying trade in all sections.
A packed ringside of buyers made their presence felt and it culminated in a top price of 1620gns for Too Loos Sweet William, a two-and-a-half year old bull from Gardner & Digweed.
He had been shown successfully, taking two reserve championships and second at the breed’s National Show 2011. The successful purchaser was R Williams, Henley-in-Arden.
Other bulls were closely followed, selling to 1080gns for Holberrow Red Rex from George Godber’s Holberrow herd. The bull was out of Holberrow Laurel who had won four interbreed championships and was taken by W R Lea, Coleshill.
The Holberrow herd had a successful day securing the top price in the female section with the cow Carich Jasmine with a polled bull calf at foot selling at 1100gns to T A Barnett, Hereford.
