Are you a Volunteer Manager? If so, this could be for you. Evesham Volunteer Centre is offering 6 free training sessions the next session on Monday 29th November. The topic is reducing barriers to volunteering for people with disabilities. Other training sessions are on the topics Managing Volunteers, Managing Difficult Behaviour and Risk Assessment. These training events are being funded by Capacity Builders and will take place from 6.30 to 8.30pm in the Meeting Room at Evesham Volunteer Centre with tea and coffee and provided. YSS need volunteers to become Appropriate Adults to support 10 to 16 year olds during police procedures, whilst under arrest at local Police Stations in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire. An Appropriate Adult may be occupied for between 2 and 3 hours whilst acting at a police station. An availability of at least once a fortnight is required and volunteers need to attend a one day training course. For more details contact Sally Early details below.

Chernobyl 2000 is a local registered charity that provides support to social centres, orphanages, schools and hospitals in Belarus in the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear explosion. They are desperate for support with sorting, packing and the loading of vehicles for their next convoy to Belarus.
