The annual general meeting of the Show Committee was held in the Red Lion on November 16. In his report the chairman, Alan Wright, said that once again it had been a very good show and he thanked the committee for all their hard work. He also thanked the Bowls Club for organising the car park and Trevor Hall and his team of special constables for supervising the road. He thanked local residents and clubs for their support and Rupert Wyles and his supporters for the barbecue, which raised £1,380. Takings on the gate were up by 11%, which showed that there were more visitors and that there was a better collection of money on the gates than last year. He also thanked the Horticultural Society for running the flower and produce show, which was again well supported and attractive. The treasurer, Mike Tremellen, said that the show was very successful from a monetary point of view. The show surplus was £2,349, which was more than double that of the year before. The election of the 2011 show committee then took place. Fred Edmunds took the chair and thanked Alan Wright for all his work. He said that the tombola, which had been run previously by the Village Hall committee, had been very much missed. The committee was then re-elected en bloc.
A vote of thanks was then given to the secretary, John Wilber and donations and disbursements were discussed. The Show Committee itself needed some new equipment, and it was agreed that a total of £1,750 could be donated, to be divided between the Playing Field committee, the Village Hall, the Six Parishes magazine, the defibrillator group, the Youth Football, the Warwickshire Air Ambulance and Shipston Home Nursing.
