A BIDFORD supermarket has added to its trophy cabinet after success at the Convenience Retail Awards.

Warner’s Budgens won best large store at the ceremony at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London, for the third year.

Judges chose winning stores through a mix of criteria including the highest standards in range, merchandising, service, shopping environment and how the store teams engage with the customers and the local community.

“We are really pleased to have won this award,” said store manager Mike Worrall. “I have a fantastic team, and they really deserve this for all their hard work. Since our total refit last year, our store has gone from strength to strength and this is recognition of this. I am particularly pleased as there is such great competition in the category.”
