PUPILS at Salford Priors Primary School are encouraging villagers to bag a bargain while being kind to their environment at an eco-friendly jumble sale.
Youngsters in Classes 3 and 4 have been learning about recycling as part of their Keen to be Green topic and were inspired to organise a “Recycle It” jumble sale.
They have since been busily collecting people’s quality unwanted items such as clothing, toys and bric-a-brac ready for the sale on Saturday, March 19, between 10am and noon.
The children will also decide how much to charge for each item and how they will organise the stalls which they will run themselves on the day.
The money raised will go into the school fund and the children will decide what to spend it on. Everyone is welcome to attend the sale and items for sale can be donated to the school by contacting them on 01789 772497.
