How very admirable it is to see a councillor thanking council workers for doing their job!

I refer to Coun Amphlett’s ‘thank you’ to gritting workers for doing something they are paid to do.

I would suggest she devotes more of her time to finding out and dealing with the state of the side roads which feed into the main roads, which she found in pristine condition. My road, as it was last year, was almost like an ice rink which is even more worrying when it is a key through road for children walking to school.

Stop patting people on the back and get on with finding out about the real problems and come up with solutions so that we don’t suffer again later in the future.
