CHILDREN from Cropthorne with Charlton First School have been busy creating all kinds of things from cakes to calendars to help raise funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Year 4 and 5 teacher Alison Paul said: “My class have been working on enterprise projects which tied in with a topic on Van Goph last term. Children created their own version of his pictures and shrunk them down to create calendars, cards and wrapping paper to sell at the school’s Open Morning last week.
“There was also an after school club which had been making Christmas cakes and other bits, and this was all in aid of our charity for the year the Midlands Air Ambulance.
“Everyone had a lot of fun and helped raise £660 in two hours, which is fantastic. We are very proud of them and every child learned something.”
