Clare Foster and Emma Heathcote-James have taken over as secretaries for the Moreton Show from Andy Moran who has left the society.
Ms Heathcote-James is fronting the PR side of the show, events, sponsorship and communications while Mrs Foster is responsible for the finances and logistics.
Mother of teenage twin boys, Mrs Foster said: “I was thrilled when Nickki Eden approached me about taking on the role as joint secretary. I’ve enjoyed working with the show in the past with the Kangaroo Kid and am looking forward to working with Emma and the rest of the team to make the 2011 event a huge success.”
Ms Heathcote-James created Spotty Dog PR after moving to Bretforton 10 years ago where she is a parish councillor. She founded The Little Soap Company in 2008 and founded the Women in Rural Enterprise Group based in Campden.
Both are working closely with Tim Gardner, society secretary from 1994 until earlier this year, having earlier met Babs Attwood, secretary from 1970 to 1995.
The show, which requires the services of more than 100 volunteer judges and 200 voluntary stewards, is managed by a community-based council.
With the two new joint secretaries, the show team comprises Peter Taylor, showground manager, Liz Day and Gill Banning, who cover administration along with John Lucas and Pam Hathaway, both part-time office administrators.
Stuart Mace, the new chairman, said: “I trust the team will be supported as they settle into their new roles and be patient as they pick up loose ends, “We all really look forward to a hugely successful 2011 show.”
