A BANQUET at Chipping Campden using food sourced from the North Cotswolds and the Vale of Evesham will be featured on TV on Thursday.
The programme is on the Good Food Channel at 8pm which features Australian chef Bill Granger cooking for the meal in the former banqueting hall on the Jacobean estate behind the church.
A Gloucester Old Spot pig from Todenham Manor Farm forms the main ingredient for the meal which also features plum chutney which he made with Elspeth Robertson at Wayside Farm Shop, Wickhamford, whom he described as the chutney queen, with plums grown by the Vale Heritage Trust at their Lenchwick orchards on the outskirts of Evesham.
“It was a very interesting experience,” said Mrs Robertson. “Bill Granger was very enthusiastic about our local plum recipes.”
