AN Evesham police officer has received a special award marking his dedication to the job.
Local Policing Officer Paul Lewis was among four south Worcestershire officers to receive an honour for 20 years or more of service.
Ch Insp Jerry Reakes-Williams, head of local policing in south Worcestershire and an award recipient, said: “Policing remains a vocation and 20 years - and more than two decades in some cases - in frontline public service should be celebrated.
“West Mercia Police is a family force and always recognises those who have given loyal and unstinting service.
“The four recipients are prime examples and represent 80 years of high-quality policing - and still counting.”
