A FESTIVE disco will raise funds for life-saving research in memory of an Evesham woman.
Coleen Taylor battled leukaemia for more than two years and raised money for the Cure Leukaemia charity throughout that time. She underwent pioneering treatment using stem cells donated by her sister Karen, but lost her fight for life in January.
After Coleen’s death, close friends Christine Owens, Ruth Middlicott, Margaret Kind and Vivien Brouwer pledged to keep her memory alive by holding fund-raising events for her chosen charity. Following a successful twilight fair in May, the group have organised a Christmas disco at Evesham Working Men’s Club on Friday, December 10.
The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10, to include a jacket potato. Tickets are available from the club.
