CHILDREN at a Broadway school have been busily crafting culinary creations thanks to a village business.

Warner’s Budgens, which has a store in Russell’s Square, donated cooking utensils and ingredients to pupils at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School as part of its ongoing commitment to establishing community links. Senior teacher, Rachael Perry, said the new equipment would enable children to take part in regular cookery classes and learn important life skills.

Tina Magee, marketing manager for Warner’s Budgens, said: “We’re very involved with the community and we help St Mary’s out as much as we can.

“We’re really at the forefront of making sure the children are learning about food.”
