We have had quite a busy end of week. It started off with us having a double booking.
I had to attend the 60th Anniversary of Evesham Round Table Dinner on Saturday. I have not had any dealings with Round Table before and I learned a lot about these Gentlemen. Gentlemen and the Ladies section...on behalf of the people of Evesham a hearty thank you.
While I was involved with that, Pat accompanied by her daughter Coun Helen Sinfield went to support the Voices in the Vale Event in Pershore. They tell me they had a wonderful time and really enjoyed it. On Saturday we were both at the Bengeworth British Legion Service of Remembrance. What an emotional service. After a quick lunch we were at the Market Square to start the Santa Dash in aid of NSPCC. A couple of hours later I had a great deal of fun and pleasure in turning on the Christmas Lights in the Market Square the Fireworks were the usual high standard, and the lights went on without a hitch. Thank you to everyone who turned out to support the event. A special thanks to Santa's helpers who looked after the Reindeer. Not forgetting the birds of prey display. It must have been very cold for you all.
Jim Bulman, Evesham Mayor.
