A GROUP of children from Cherry Orchard First School, in Pershore, got a special tour of the town hall last week.
The mayor and mayoress, Coun Chris and Jan Parsons, showed the 60 students around and taught them all about the type of engagements they are expected to make and the responsibilities the town council has.
The children also heard about Pershore’s twin towns and were able to see the Charters signed by both Bad Neustadt and Plouay.
Coun Parsons said: ” It was a pleasure talking to the children and it is always very encouraging to see the younger members of our community taking an interest in local affairs”.
If any other local school is interested in having a similar talk they should call the town hall on 01386 561561.
