IN a bid to be greener, bosses at the Deer Park Hall conference centre at Eckington have pledged to plant a tree for every 20 guests that attend a function at the hillside venue.
This month they are in full swing tree planting after a busy wedding and conference season, coinciding with National Tree Week which runs from November 17 to December 5.
Tree planting is not new at Deer Park Hall which has been hosting a tree planting scheme for the Friends of Eckington School since the Millennium with each new pupil planting a tree with the help of Ready Hedge Nurseries.
“The recent commitment to planting trees for Deer Park Hall guest attendance is part of the launch programme following the construction of a new function room, which has added a fantastic light and airy room to the already successful Grade II Listed conference and wedding facilities,” said Caron Steele.
Set in 1400 acres of picturesque farmland in the side of Bredon Hill with stunning views across to the Malverns,Deer Park Hall has an inspiring atmosphere and offers a flexible venue for conferences far from the distractions of working life and a beautiful, unique setting for weddings.
