A COTSWOLD couple won a prestigious national award for their health and nutrition business.
Vicki and Andrew Osbiston, from Hazleton, beat off competition from every other direct selling company regulated by the Direct Selling Association and the Office of Trading.
Before they started their business from home the pair hardly saw each other. Both from corporate backgrounds, they were travelling about 60,000 miles a year, stressed and staying in hotels. They were clocking up 80 to 100 hours per week until a near-death accident one night, when Vicki fell asleep at the wheel, made them take stock of life and what they wanted.
Mr Osbiston said: “We started the business in association with Herbalife six-and-a-half years ago as part-time work from home and it has progressed to a full-time business. In the first month, we made £800 and by the end of our third month, we were making £1,500 part-time.
“We built on this early success and now trade over £10,000 per month and have done so for 72 months out of the 78 months we have been in business.
“Our business is rapidly expanding, not only here in the UK but in six other countries as well. The main factor for this growth is the progressive team that we work with and the support and training structure we offer. The mix of our business has changed since we first started out.
“At first it was mainly aimed towards weight loss. Today, however, we help people not only to lose weight but with good healthy nutrition and weight management along with sports nutrition, which is a fast-growing sector.”
