COTSWOLD Line rail passengers are being warned that late-night trains on the route will be replaced by buses from next month, due to overnight tracklaying work.
Network Rail engineers will be working on the line as part of the £67 million project to reinstate 20 miles of double track, including the section between Evesham and Moreton.
As a result, from December 13 until May next year, the last weekday train from London Paddington to Cotswold Line stations will be the 7.22pm (8.20pm from Oxford) and the last train from Worcester on to the line will be the 7.27pm from Worcester Foregate Street (9.29pm from Shrub Hill).
A bus serving Pershore, Evesham and stations to Oxford will leave Foregate Street at 8.40pm, while a second bus will run from Shrub Hill Road at 11pm. Buses will also leave Oxford at 9.31pm and 11.02pm for stations to Worcester.
