A BIT of glitz and glamour was brought to The Littletons School canteen when children dined with some special guests as part of a national campaign.
Deputy mayor of Evesham, Gerry O’Donnell, and his wife Jenny enjoyed a meal with youngsters and their families at the Farm Lane school as part of Britain’s Biggest School Lunch.
The event marked National School Meals Week (November 8-12) which encourages the promotion of eating healthy school dinners in primary and secondary schools.
Teaching assistant, Karen Millward, said: “We had about 60 parents and grandparents and the children all made table mats.
“The feedback was fantastic. The parents enjoyed it and the children enjoyed having their parents in.
“On a termly basis, each class invites their parents into school to share a meal but this is the first time we had all there.”
