A NEW adaptation of the wonderful world of Ratty, Mole and Toad by Bishampton Barnstormers is to make its debut at the village hall next week.
Based on the classic Wind in the Willows, by Kenneth Grahame, the drama group led by villager Michael Johnes has striven to follow the great writer's genre as closely as possible.
Director Sue Griffith said: "All the well-known and much-loved riverbank animals are there together with a few surprises.
"The play is linked by a story-teller as we travel from riverbank to the wild wood and the big wild world beyond.
"The cast of 18 adults and two teams of 13 children have been working hard on this great entertainment for all the family and we hope as many people as possible will come to see it."
Indefatigable, pompous, Mr Toad is played by Alan Holder, with his long suffering friends Ratty and Mole tackled by Lindsay Cameron and Alan Taylor.
The production starts on November 30 and runs until December 2 with a Saturday matinee.
Curtain goes up at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm start on Saturday.
Tickets from £3 to £5, can be obtained from Bishampton Stores.
