A THEATRICAL feast is in store at Cheltenham's Everyman. Bitter Fruit follows the fortunes of a group of actors staging a play based on the myth of Vulcan, the god of fire. The story is told through the movement of the actors, and the use of masks and puppetry. This unusual performance takes place next Wednesday, at 7.45pm. RODGERS and Hammerstein's musical Carousel is coming to the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham next week. Featuring classics such as What's The Use of Wonderin' and You'll Never Walk Alone. It stars Darren Day and Sam Kane and is choreographed by Wayne Sleep. People can catch the musical from next Tuesday until December 2. To book call 0870 607 7533.

MALVERN Theatres hosts the Raising The Roof Roadshow - a day of dance workshops and performances for anyone over the age of 14 - on Sunday. Styles to suit everyone, from Capoeira to Hip-Hop and Jazz, will be covered from 10am. The day costs £8. Further details on 01684 892277.
New beat
WORCESTERSHIRE Symphony Orchestra's new conductor for the 2000/2001 season Adrian Lucas picks up his baton for a concert on Saturday. The orchestra is playing at Worcester Cathedral when the programme will include Overture to Don Giovanni by Mozart, Violin Concerto in D Minor by Sibelius and Symphony No 9 by Dvorak.
