A SUNDAY double header of games for the phenomenon that is Scarrotts, all but finished off the first half of the Stratford upon Avon Five-a-Side League season.
Michael Peacock's men took a virtually unassailable lead in the championship, which now stands at a massive nine points.
While the statistics show that six points were gleaned to make it seven wins from seven games it was a far from easy ride for the would be champions.
An early afternoon kick-off saw Scarrotts pitched against their former feeder team AT FC and what a match it turned out to be.
This match was to be an emotional farewell for AT skipper Tony Sweeney who was stepping down after this game having deciding to leave the area and move back up to Manchester.
Scarrotts, however, weren't about to let sentiment get in the way of their title ambitions but had to pull out all the stops to win this much-anticipated clash.
Rob Southam started where he had left off from last week crashing in seven super strikes but was understandably cursing the brilliance of Andrew Ruddick who made a string of quite magnificent saves.
Steve Peters found his way past the AT keeper to net a hat-trick with Darren Hill (2) and Simon Reid also netting.
AT gave their erstwhile partners a real examination, something that no other team had done so far but, with opponents who have a team packed with goalscorers, winning was perhaps just beyond them.
Tom Coles and Paco Leon-Grimes both bagged four goals apiece but Scarrotts proved once again that they are just a cut above the rest.
Match two later on Sunday evening was Biz Whizz's Armageddon as they had their first opportunity to stop the runaway Scarrotts express.
Mark Barrow clearly saw this game as D-day for Biz Whizz and made a raft of changes to his team aimed squarely at winning the game at all costs.
At first glance, one could be forgiven for thinking that this match was Scarrotts against Dark Horses, and to all intense and purposes it was!
Biz Whizz made a dream start and they were in total control cruising to a 4-1 lead within 20 minutes.
Scarrotts' experience didn't allow for any hint of panic to set in keeping their football head firmly on and brought themselves back into contention by halftime to level things at 4-4.
Biz Whizz gave as good as they got and forged ahead once again in the second half.
With 18 minutes left Mark Barrows men led 8-6 and looked to have the beating of Scarrotts firmly in hand. Scarrotts, however, had different ideas and managed to turn things around very coolly leaving Biz Whizz standing with a 10-8 turnaround.
Meanwhile, in another universe, the battle for second spot saw Betteridge Kickers and Shooting Stars put on a thriller.
These two teams, while light years away from Scarrotts, showed everyone that they clearly don't care about the championship but are prepared to put everything into finishing second in the title race.
At half time it was deadlocked at four apiece and right up to the final whistle it was stalemate and only an Iain McArthur late strike stole the points for Betteridge.
With Biz Whizz crashing to Scarrotts the win allowed Betteridge to leap into second spot and spoil Mark Barrow's weekend even further.
Mike Hales could do little to stop his Alveston side slipping to defeat once again as AT FC turned his young side over with an 11-6 scoreline.
With Land Rovers winning courtesy of a walkover against The Queens Head, which incidentally was their first win of the season, Alveston are only kept off the bottom of the table by virtue of goal difference.
