THE weather forced a double postponement and left Stratford Town's players kicking their heels again.
There was little chance of Saturday's Midland Alliance clash against Rushall taking place after the heavy rain, while the Masons Road pitch failed to recover in time for Tuesday's Birmingham Senior Cup tie against Kings Heath.
"It's frustrating but it's the same for everybody," said manager Lennie Derby.
"The postponements have taken the edge a little off our win against Shifnal and it would be nice to be able to string a few results together but we will have to be patient."
Town's players face a second training session tonight, hoping that Saturday's game at Wednesfield gets the thumbs-up.
Stratford are due to entertain Holwell Sports in the Midland Invitation Cup next Tuesday but the County Cup clash could take precedence. The winners will entertain either Atherstone or Studley BKL.
Former striker Dave Pearson has joined Rugby after a trial spell at Hereford.
"He's a good player and I would have liked him back here so I am disappointed he's decided to go elsewhere," said Derby.
"I have nobody else lined up at the moment but I have always got my eyes open."
