CHIPPING NORTON: Guild of Bellringers - The weather, unfortunately proved very unfavourable for the above fixture on Saturday last, but even this did not prevent a goodly number of the guild and several friends interested in the art of bellringing assembling on a typically raw November day to take part in the annual proceedings. Some capital change ringing was accomplished on the parish church bells during the day, three sets of movements being undertaken under the directorship of the Rev F E Robinson, the master of the guild, who himself is an acknowledged expert in the manipulation of bells.

WINCHCOMBE: Brabazon Work - An exhibition and sale of work by the inmates under the Brabazon scheme was held in the Board Room at the poor law Institution on Friday afternoon.

Moreton: At a road safety film show in the Playhouse, Moreton, on Wednesday afternoon, 400 local children were warned by In. NE Baker of the danger of running out of the Playhouse on to the roadway following the matinee programme on Saturday mornings. The children saw four road safety films which showed the disastrous consequences of thoughtless actions of both children and adults on the road.

COTSWOLDS: The Cotswold district council will definitely not be taking over the High Street car park in Moreton in Marsh. Councillors heard the move would be extraordinary unpopular with Moreton people who have always been used to free parking.
